i have looked a few places but don’t seem to find that great of deals over anyone else. any suggestions on the best prices for digital cameras?

They also rate stores, which helps to avoid a ripoff place with a fake low price.
Using pricegrabber, I found the DSC-W55 in black for 152.99 from Dell, plus any tax with free shipping.
MySimon had identical pricing.
Just use the sites, put in your zip code and the site will calculate any tax and shipping, so you can do useful price comparisons.
try dpreview, amazon, newegg, buy.com, and yahoo shopping. Bizrate also compares prices. Hope one of these sites will help you find the best online price.

Right now. Circuit City has them on special so Wal MArt and Target have also dropped their prices.
Right now it’s like $178
On the 18th the price will probably go back to $199
Unfortunately the silver one is going to be hard to find. Sony ran out of stock on them, leaving only the pink ones.
